A rustic vintage compass, vintage skeleton key, and vintage wood button hang from a brass chain in this one-of-a-kind traveler's necklace by Callooh Callay. The compass is a rare souvenir from St. Louis, Missouri. On one side is the compass, with a two-toned needle and yellowed paper (it works pretty well). On the other side is a paper label with a great retro picture of a steamboat on the Mississippi River. The necklace may be worn either way.

The button is round and stained a dark red. It hangs from the skeleton key, which has aged to a dark grey.

The chain has an antiqued brass finish with a textured surface. It fits handily over my head but has an antiqued brass lobster claw clasp for convenience. The chain is about 26 inches (66 cm), but can be shortened or lengthened on request. The compass is 1 3/8 inches wide, and the key is 2 1/2 inches long.

All of my jewelry comes packaged in colorful hand-made pouches--ready for gift-giving, but easy to open if you want to peek first.
