This is a large Urn made from a root of a Bristlecone Pine we found this spring. The tree had been uprooted and the roots exposed for possibly a hundred years. All of the roots from this tree have amazing swirls on the exterior of the root and the resins really show a lot of changing colors when a side is cut. This root we cut on two sides revealing the great colors of the wood. We only have one small piece left of these roots, and we're sad to see the end of them. We have looked at hundreds of uprooted Bristlecones and have only found a few with the character like these. We show the urn in an upright position ,but it can also be displayed laying on two other sides. We machine out the interior to leave the box as one piece. A piece of curly maple with birds' eyes has been cut and glued to the top, creating a pleasing and complimentary look. The bottom has a 1/4" thick recessed panel that fits flush to the bottom and is held in place with 4 brass screws.

A truly unique and special resting place for your beloved pets cremains. Names and dates can be hand burned at no charge, just convo us with your order.

Bristlecone Pines are the oldest living organisms, a tree in Nevada's Great Basin National Park is close to 5000 years old.
