This classic stoneware teapot's is glazed with a light olive green celadon on the outside. The inside is glazed with a white/orange shino glaze. The tea pours perfectly through a series of small holes which will allow you to steep leaves or bags. The perfect fitting lid allows for the pot to be tilted to almost 90 degrees without the lid falling off. Measures 5.5" tall at the knob (14 cm) and 6" wide from the tip of the spout to the widest point (15.2cm). The opening is 2.5" (6.3 cm) wide. Holds 26 oz. The handle is made of bamboo.

Fired to cone 10/11 (2350 F) in a gas kiln. This temperature is at the top of the firing range for ceramics and makes the clay strong and vitreous.

Food SAFE, but because of the bamboo handle this pot should not be put in the microwave or dishwasher.

Each item is individually made by me on the potter's wheel using my custom stoneware clay and glazes that I formulate. I take great care and pride in my work to make sure I offer the best product I can. I hope you enjoy using them as much as I like making them.
