This is the fifth quilt I've made. Someone on Craigslist gave away a few bags full of fabric from the forties and fifties so I took it as a sign to start quilting! Now that I've made one for me and one for my son it's time to share the wealth.

Because the fabrics are so special I used traditional techniques that will make people think you have an heirloom quilt your grandma made. The quilt backing is a plain white sheet. Cream colored cotton was used to tie the quilt. Because the fabrics are old there are fraying spots, some stains, and discoloration. They add to the beauty in my opinion so I made the choice to leave them. As I mentioned, this is only the fifth quilt I made so it may not be perfect but I'm happy with it. All of the fabrics have been washed and the natural organic cotton batting is brand new.

Slightly smaller than a twin size, perfect for a daybed like mine. 65 x 69"

Thank you and enjoy!
