Description

SOUPER SPICES KFC "Copycat" Seasonings*

I finally did it! I am so excited! I've been working on this for months and this recipe is the best and closest to the Colonels himself! Besides that, you don't have to sacrifice flavor and the savory goodness without the calories or salt. Let’s face it, KFC is not the healthiest choice not to mention all of that salt, but still, I crave it. I tried this on my husband and he thought it was phenomenal-and that is really hard for him to say. He is an “It’s OK” man like many people out there and very critical about his food. So am I, for that matter, and we also call ourselves food snobs. So be it! We like the best tasting food there is to be had and we very seldom go out to eat because I can make it better at home.
This is a first of five my “Copycat” recipes and I must say that after I went surfing and tried all of the recipes out there, I am convinced that this is the best if not the real thing. On that note, I will leave you with a recipe to die for and let me know what you think. If you have a favorite food out there, let me know and I will see what I can do to copycat it. Enjoy!

*(Paprika, onion, celery seed, sage, garlic, allspice, oregano, black pepper, basil, marjoram, nutmeg, tomato) Contains 10-1 TB servings. Net weight 2.0 oz. (56 g)

KFC COPYCAT FRIED CHICKEN NUGGETS

Prep time: 15
Cook time: 6-8 minutes
Servings: 4

This is soooo yummy and so much healthier for you than the real thing without sacrificing the savory taste. Also you get to choose how much salt to use.

1 lb Skinless chicken breast cut in 1/2 inch chunks or slices
2 TB SOUPER SPICES-KFC COPYCAT
1 c buttermilk
1 c flour
1-3 tsp salt (optional)
Canola oil

Always season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic, first. Mix flour, salt and KFC COPYCAT in a baggie and mix well. Dip chicken chunks in buttermilk then in flour mixture. Repeat. Fry in canola oil 2-3 inches deep in a tall pan on medium heat for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown. Finger lick'in good!

We were very VERY DISAPPOINTED in the KFC seasoning mix. It didn't even come close to the real thing. In fact, we thought it was flavorless and bland. Our first clue should have been the absence of ANY kind of smell to the seasoning mix. We suspect it is ground up sawdust. I'm usually not nasty like this, but it was a total ripoff, and you probably won't post this review. I checked a one star review only because I'm not sure zero stars is considered a legit rating. Save your money!

Barb responded

In my defense I take my business personally and found this upsetting. I wrote, refunded and apologized and no response. This is my response to her:
On inspection of my KFC blend, I realized that the lid labeled KFC was on the mild, salt free chili powder and vice versa. I have sold hundreds of this blend, as you can see in my reviews, with a 5 star rating and have never had a complaint. I will be happy to refund your money.
I made a mistake and it is my fault. I just wished you had contacted me before you aired your review as I state in my policies below.

Came on Thursday (the 29th). Wanted yet another batch of the Herbes de Provence (before I'd ran out of my last tin) and some more of the tea (don't think i had the peach yet) and wanted to try out the couscous. Both that (couscous) and the tea are great and enough to make multiple batches, So ty yet again and keep up the good work!
