here is a marvelous 1950's vintage sewing pattern, to use and/or admire ♥

This original vintage printed pattern from McCall's is for a lovely dress, darted and seamed for fit perfection with a choice of a full or slim below-knee wiggle skirt. The wide bateau neckline in front plunges to a deep V in back, and the bodice can be made with or without little cut-out triangles on the sleeves and neckline.

The pattern consists of 17 pieces and is complete along with the instruction guide. There's also an extra piece cut from newspaper...I'm not exactly sure what it was for, but my best guess is she used it to help gauge the back waist darts. It has a picture of then-Senator John F. Kennedy along with "pleat" and "place on fold" handwritten in pencil on one side. This came from the estate of a neat & tidy seamstress who took very good care of her patterns. The envelope shows some edge wear, and the pattern pieces are all neatly folded and in great condition.
