What are the benefits of using this silicone mold?

~ Hot and cold uses: The versatility of silicone allows you to use them for both cold environments and for heat curing. This includes extremely high casting temps and then moving to freezer.

~ Faster: The final cast will de-mold in seconds, saving you time and energy.

~ Non stick: Silicone molds are great advantage using to cast polyester, epoxy, urethane and foods. They do not stick, making un-molding virtually effortless.

~ Easy clean: Molds can be easily wiped-clean. Or slosh cleaned. Saving time scrubbing caked on hardened plastics.

~ Durable: Silicone molds are durable, able to withstand more than 200 uses in casting. (This is a prorated estimated number for the tin mold.)
Heat resistant. Heat-resistance is to 400°F (204°C).

~ Freezer safe: Freeze contents in the molds. With out damage to mold.

~ Shock proof: They can go from extreme heat and cold, including being dropped.

This silicone mold is a tin cure with a hardness of 30. Smooth-on's Mold Max® 30 is used. It is Tin grade silicone with a long library life.

~~~~~~ NOT USED FOR FOOD!! ~~~~~~
What to expect:
The mold was produced using a custom cast master, highly polished, free from bubbles,
deep scratches and voids. All corners have tight edges and bottom sides are square, the top has a pointy tip.
The extracted cast will have a dimension of 6.25” wide and 4.125” tall at the largest.
This mold is a one of a kind. No place is there a silicone pyramid over 4” wide at the base that is available for purchase. This pyramid is modeled after the Great Pyramid of Giza to a 2000:1 ratio. Total weight is 3 lbs with carrier
The mold is a 30 hardness scale but please note embedments close to the edge will bump out of line. Basically the mold will give a little and the surface will appear bumpy but polished. This is what happens when working with silicone. There is a risk of deforming the silicone if you pack down embedments in your cast against the silicone wall. One of the limiting factors of using a softer silicone hardness. (This is why I will not be making anymore of them.)
The competed cast will pop out of the mold easily and effortlessly. It will give you a total polish, no sanding or polishing is required out of this mold.
Note: The pyramid cast is for a depiction only. This instates what the mold will produce and is not included in this sale.
