Approx. 8" square, 100% cotton, machine pieced and quilted, using a wide variety of 'logs' or thin rectangles of fabric. The log cabin block is one of the oldest and beloved quilt blocks from early times to today. The light and dark fabrics in combination, produce a strong graphic design.
Starting from the center block, which traditionally is red, to represent the pioneers fireplace, the logs are stacked round and round.... a total of twenty logs in all for each of these hot pads.
A layer of Insul-Brite insulated thermal batting, reflects the heat back into your container or casserole, and away from your hands. An extra layer of Warm and Natural cotton batting provides an extra layer of protection. These insulated hot pads are plump and resilient to all challenges that come their way. We have a set in our own kitchen!
This listing is for a set of two hot pads. Each comes with a hanging loop and chunky toffee button. The backing is a delightful print featuring little bags of harvest produce.... corn, wheat, oats and peas, floating on a cranberry red sky.
Machine wash. Cold water. Delicate cycle. Press.
Perfect as a gift for family member, friend or colleague... or keep them for yourself and enjoy the country colors each time you look at them.
Regular price for one insulated hot pad is $10.00. Buy this set and receive a discount of 10%.
