Pretty vintage goldstone glass and rhinestone dangle earrings are in the Victorian Revival style so popular in the 1950’s. Nicely constructed, with gold fill screw back fittings, and a sculpted leaf charm superimposed over the goldstone. Goldstone is actually a copper based glass, a process originally discovered in Venice in the 17th century. It is a beautiful orange brown color with the copper having been crystallized in a complex process. Along with the sparkle of the goldstone and rhinestones, the charms give the earrings a kinetic quality which is very attractive.

They are marked “Amco” in script and “1/20 12KT Gold Filled” on each earscrew. AMCO was a company located in Providence, RI. It started business as A. Micallef and Co. in 1919, and continued until the late 1970’s. They are in fine vintage condition with some slight toning variation in the gold fill.

This item will be presented in a pouch and gift boxed.

SIZE: 1-1/8”H x ¾”W
