A beautiful fajance (faience) wall plaque produced by Royal Copenhagen / Aluminia and decorated by the artist Ellen Malmer.

The plaque belongs to the Baca serie.
Nils Johan Thorvald Thorsson was art director of Royal Copenhagen / Aluminia from 1949 until 1974 and Baca was the last serie that he developed.

The motif is abstract botanical and there is a beautiful burned color range in tones of brown, mustard and small sprinkles of green and yellow. There is a hole at the top for hanging.

It’s in a very good vintage condition. No repairs and no crazing, but there is a tiny chip at the hole for hanging (please see pictures).

Stamping on the bottom: "Royal Copenhagen", Ellen Malmers initials inside the Baca logo and the design number "635/1665".

Measurements (approx.):
- diameter 14,5 cm / 5.7"
- height 0,5 cm / 0.2"
