FIBULOSO is mixture of two words 'fibula' and 'fabuloso' (spanish word for 'fabulous').

In archeology, FIBULA is the name of all those metal pieces used in antiquity to join and hold clothes. It might be called "the ancestor of safety pins".

This brooch is a tribute to safety pins, a daily object turned into jewel.

FIBULOSO OLEA is inspired in olive branches.

The main body is hand sawed out of a sheet of sterling silver and the head is hand made also of sterling silver. Both features are joined mechanically (without soldering) as real safety pins are.

The brooch measures 5,8cm long and 2,8cm wide (2,3" x 1,1")
