This delightful pin has got a neat feature I have not seen before. The wings of the butterfly or moth are are springs. To wear the brooch you pull back the wings of the butterfly to open the sharp clip prongs. The prongs when released will press into the fabric and hold. This pin is about 1.5 inches by 2 inches or 5 cm by 4 cm. The silver tone body and wings of this little guy are covered with clear round and baguette shape rhinestones. Two tiny emerald green rhinestones serve as eyes. This pin is in pretty good condition for its age. There are a few tiny flaws. While all of the rhinestones are present one or two of them have darkened. Also when I blew this picture up I noticed that there is some rust on the springs attaching the wings to the body. The back of the brooch shows no sign of wear.
