This one-of-a-kind book is upcycled from a vintage 1923 edition of "Elements of Radio Telephony", by William C. Ballard, Jr., M.E. I have included 15 pages from the original book, many with photos or diagrams, interleaved between 60 blank sheets of off-white paper. Here's a little excerpt:

"The phenomenal popularity into which radio telephonic broadcasting has sprung has been the means of interesting thousands in radio transmission. To the non-technical reader the transmission of speech and music with no visible means of intercommunication is somewhat of a mystery. While it is mysterious it is no more mysterious than the production and recognition of light, for radio and light waves are of exactly the same nature."

This would make a great gift for a science teacher or student, or anyone who loves vintage books!

The blank paper consists of acid-free, 25% cotton, 24 lb. off-white paper, which is smooth enough to write and sketch upon easily. It's all bound with a sturdy, wire coil binding that allows the book to lie flat. Measures approximately 5 1/4" x 7 1/4" (including wire binding). The book's covers show some wear, which is part of the nature and character you find with a previously loved, recycled book.

The perfect book for use as a travel journal or scrapbook, or to fill with brilliant ideas, doodles, secret thoughts, spontaneous sketches, dream journal, keeping score on game night, your own unified theory of physics...?
