This is a sterling silver souvenir spoon commemorating the state of Ohio. It is marked Sterling and signed with an an "S" inside a circle (the early trademark for the Shepard Manufacturing Company).

The stem depicts the coat of arms of Ohio, an Egyptian eye, a sheep, a cluster of grapes, and has the word "O H I O" spelled out down the lower part of the handle. The back of the stem depicts an eagle with spread wings, wheat and crossed flags.

This is a terrific and rare souvenir spoon. It measures 5 3/8" in length and is polished and in excellent condition. Also, it ships for free.
