** Technique **
My hats are hand-felted from merino wool, known for its softness. Indeed, the fibers of the wool of merino sheep are long and thin: wool does not scratch. After felting, wool is let a few hours in a waterbath with natural products to enhance its waterproof properties. And felt hats can be worn when it rains as well (but not hours long!).

** Care **
I recommend dry cleaning. However, hand washing is possible, in cold water without twisting the hat. Then, reshape the hat when the wool is still wet (the folds will not leave because they are sewn inside the hat).
It is preferable to keep the felt hat placed on a shelf and not folded in a drawer.
