Description

Coffmans are a crisp and flavorful apple; just a bit sweet and not too juicy. Sliced in a pie they keep their shape nicely and don't turn to mush. They are good "winter keepers" too, as they will stay fresh in a root-cellar cold storage through the winter.

Coffman apples were cultivated extensively and finally perfected by The US Department Of Agriculture in 1909. This beautiful original 6" x 9" lithograph illustration from that same year shows 1 1/2 lovely ripe Coffmans all ready to eat!.

This sweet botanical illustration is just one of several harvested from a collection of simple and delightful USDA litho illustrations from the turn of the century; the colors are still lively and bright over 100 years later.

Matted, framed and displayed as a gallery grouping, these wonderful old botanical art prints are simply spectacular. (Please note that the framed examples in the last two photos are just to show how this might look when it's matted and framed. Your print will come to you unmatted and unframed.)

I'll send this fine old beauty to you by way of the USPS packaged flat and protected in a rigid mailer.

Surrender Dorothy offers an outstanding collection of frame-worthy and ever so affordable antique and vintage prints, sketches, posters, ads, maps, charts and illustrations of all kinds to adorn every room in your happy home. Terrific vintage finds for your workplace too.

Returns & exchanges

Returns

Damages In The US Mail.
They happen sometimes.
Although we carefully wrap our vintage breakables in tons of bubblewrap and tons of padding and pack them in sturdy shipping boxes, damages still sometimes happen. *sigh*
Please tell us about damaged goods ASAP. Photograph the damages and send photos to us so that we can work it out with USPS.

Shipping policies

We ship by way of the United States Postal Service only.
Yes, FedEx and UPS are a little bit cheaper, but we find them to be very brutal with our delicates and breakables, so we refuse to play with them.

International Orders
The answer is YES we do ship internationally. Please just ask! There are many shipping destinations on this planet and each one is a slightly different price.

Additional policies

While it is considered customary for many antique and vintage shops to consider offers and dicker prices, our shop simply doesn't.
We've priced our merchandise as fairly as humanly possible. Please don't ask us to haggle.
Thank you.
