When I was asked to contribute a piece for the Night & White silent auction, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I’m a big fan of Loretta Lynn and she had quite a year that year – and quite a life. The title pretty much speaks for itself…Miss Loretta, with her roots firmly planted, stands among cotton sheets in front of her longtime home in Tennessee, Hurricane Mills, acquired by her success as one of Nashville’s most beloved and successful “girl singers”. With coal mining angels watching over her and, Doo, on his tractor ever present, she shines as the Queen of Country Music…as bright as the starts above.
Using Color-aid® paper’s vibrant colors, I cut the images and paste them together. It can take several months to complete a piece from start to finish, from sketching the composition, to selecting the colors to cutting every piece and pasting them together to create playful, joyous, and imaginative scenes.

This print is such a beautiful addition to our living room! I also appreciate Jay's flexibility in allowing me to pick up the print from his studio, since I live locally.
Great job, I just moved to Nashville this year and this is one of my favorite views in town.
