Bought for MrsNifty at the time of the Royal Wedding in 1981, this royal wedding commemorative coin has been in her possession ever since. This souvenir coin is are called a "crown" and had a face value of 25 pence, or 5 shillings, but very few actually made it as far as the shops.

Ideal gift for a Royalist or collector of Royal Family souvenirs, this vintage British coin shows profiles of Prince Charles and his bride, Lady Diana Spencer, on one side and Queen Elizabeth II on the reverse.

Since 1981 the coin has been rubbing shoulders with other items in a jewelry box and has picked up a few bumps and bruises as shown - but then haven't we all?
