St. Francis of Assisi Prayer Card for Pets

Description

St. Francis is the patron saint of animals and the environment. It is customary for Catholic and Anglican churches to hold ceremonies blessing pets on his feast day October 4th. Hugs to your furry and feathered friends! (But I wouldn't recommend kissing the cat.)

St. Francis of Assisi 1182-1226 came from a wealthy textile family and is known for denouncing his father to take up a life of poverty and thus beginning the Franciscan Orders.

Now to test your saint trivia, did you know he is accredited to the display of plastic blow mold yard Mangers seen all over the world at Christmastime due to his creation of the Nativity Scene? (Yes, you may keep that one in your back pocket for use at this year's office party.)

It is also recorded that St. Francis was the first saint to receive the stigmata of Christ's wounds on his hands and feet.

Printed on 80 lb. stock and laminated, therefore rendering it bulletproof. Okay not really, but it is quite sturdy. Card size is 2.5 x 4.5 inches.

Prayer cards are nice little reminders to take small moments out of our hectic days for reflection. Perfect to use as a bookmark, stick in a mirror, or anywhere eyes will happen upon it, or to tuck into a card for a wee gift to mail.
