Japanese Shigaraki teapot and yunomi (3 peice set)

This wonderful Japanese tea set was hand-crafted in wood-fired. The deep brown clay, with purple tint. is unglazed stoneware / earthenware

The set displays an unidentified potter's chop.

The teapot's kyusu handle (on the side) adds an authentic traditional look, the interior has a built-in half-sphere ball-type strainer, and an original protective sleeve remains on the spout.

Condition: no cracks, chips, nicks, or hairlines. You may notice little white specks on the set - these specks are a natural result from the firing process, called feldspar.

The teapot comfortably holds 12 oz. Another 3.5 oz fills it to the brim. The cups hold 6 oz comfortable, and another 1.5 oz to fill it to the brim.

This is truly a unique set and would make a lovely gift.
