Page 2 and 3: 12 insect flashcards in Spanish
In these 12 flashcards, you can find insects that can commonly found outside. Below is a list of the 12 insects found in the flashcards.

Have your child count each of the insect animals in each box and mark the correct number of insects. This activity will not only help with counting skills, but also with number recognition AND fine motor skills as your child colors in the circles.
Make sure after counting each insect, you have your child repeat the name of the insect as well. Repetition is GREAT for language learning.
Page 6: El escape fine motor scissor or tracing practice.
With scissors, or if the page is laminated, a dry-erase marker, have your child color cut/trace the lines to help the bees escape from the garden.
Page 7: Deletreemos spelling and tracing.
Help your child hold a pencil correctly and have them trace the dashed letters to form the word of an insect. Once traced, sound out the letters and syllables of the words in Spanish.
Page 8: Cacemos insectos
Go on a nature scavenger hunt and see if your child can identify any of the insects on the list.
Talk with your child out loud about all that you see in Spanish.
If you child spots any of the insects on the scavenger hunt, have them mark the box of that insect and identify the name.
Lastly, page 8: Mi diario visual
Talk about the insects you and your child found on the scavenger hunt. Let them be creative and draw some of the insects the identified in the boxes of their visual diary.
Once they have drawn their images, ask them to talk about the images with you and see if they can use their new insect vocabulary in Spanish!
