These turnabout cookie jars hit the market back in the 40s. They are super fun because one side is Mickey and one side is Minnie. They were painted with cold paint, so the paint came off easier than if it were baked on in a kiln hence the fact that most of these cookie jars have sparse paint left on them. My fun cookie jar is no exception.

What does set this cookie jar apart from the rest is the lack of cracks and chips. Not even any hairline fractures. Not even little chips around where the lid sits on the base. It does look like it's marked on the bottom "turnabout" but if I didn't know what should be marked there I don't think I could make it out. I have to hold it just so in the daylight and then I can make out the letters-look at picture 5, you really can't see any markings. The blue color on Mickey's eyes is in better condition than the rest of the paint, so I'm thinking maybe someone started restoring the piece maybe?

I'd say this piece is in good to great condition. If the paint were in good shape, it would be in excellent condition.

The cookie jar stands at just around 13" with the lid on and 6.25" at its widest point.

This is a heavy piece that will require extra care with shipping and therefore extra cost. I will not even try to ship this international.
