Several years ago, my mother called me. "Leslie," she said, "I love the oil cleansing method, but I feel like I'm just not getting enough out of it. Let's perfect my blend. Let's perfect my face. Let's perfect the world. Will you help me?"

Yes. Yes, I would.

We sat down and discussed the issues and the options with her oil cleansing blend. She tried myriad ingredients. She cleaned her face, and cleaned her face, and cleaned it again. Finally, we struck gold.

The perfect combination of ingredients for dry or mature (or dry AND mature) skin. The end result is exquisite.

Exquisite stuff.

If you have dry, maturing, or even sensitive skin, this is the cleansing oil you'll want to begin with. And you might never, ever go back.

Cleansing oil, by the way, is the only thing you'll ever need to remove your makeup and cleanse your face in the evening. And if you'd like something to complement your "crunchy" oil cleansing routine, the Milk and Petal cleansing grains (https://www.etsy.com/listing/106154438/milk-and-petal-soothing-and-moisturizing) would be the perfect companion to your regimen. Just use the cleansing oil in the evening, and the cleansing grains in the morning!

This listing is for 2 full oz of Exquisite Stuff Cleansing Oil, packaged in a convenient glass container with a glass dropper. This should be enough to "wash" your face at least 70 times.

AND, as with every full-size product you purchase from Crunchy Betty's Natural Market, you'll receive the exact recipe I used to create your cleansing oil. This way, if you so choose, you can try your hand at crafting your own skincare products at home. That's what Crunchy Betty's all about!

INGREDIENTS: Hexane-free castor oil, sesame oil, apricot kernel oil, avocado oil, argan oil, ylang-ylang essential oil, vitamin E

Starting with a dirty face (no need to pre-clean here, even if you’re wearing makeup), rinse your face lightly with the warm, running water.

Squirt at least1 full dropper in the palm of your hand and then apply gently all over your face. Massage firmly, but gently, always moving upwards. Massage for 2 minutes, and then let the oil sit on your face for 30 more seconds or more.

By now, you should have very hot water coming out of your faucet. Adjust the heat until it’s cool enough to apply to your skin, but warm enough to soften the oil (it’s probably going to be hotter than the water you usually rinse your face with).

Dunk the washcloth under the hot/warm water until it’s completely soaked. Apply the washcloth to your face and hold it there for 10-15 seconds. Slowly begin to wipe off. Rinse your washcloth and repeat until you’ve wiped all the oil off your skin.

IMPORTANT: You want your skin to feel soft and supple, not oily or slippy. Continue to wipe with the washcloth until you've achieved this feeling.

Want to know more about the oil cleansing method? Here's a popular post from Crunchy Betty that explains the entire thing: http://www.crunchybetty.com/nitty-gritty-on-the-oil-cleansing-method

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your skin may take some time to adjust to your new cleansing regimen. During this time, do your best not to use traditional facial cleansers (that contain surfactants that strip the oil).

You must allow your skin to learn to regulate the oils it produces naturally. If you strip those oils with a traditional cleanser, it could cause some problems in the form of breakouts.

In addition, you may (or may not - many people do not) experience breakouts during this adjustment time, as well. If your skin has not readjusted within 2-3 weeks, discontinue the use of this product.

The oil cleansing method works exceptionally well for some people, but not at all for others. The only way you'll learn if it's right for you is ... of course ... to try it!

If, after using this cleansing oil for two weeks, you find that your skin is either too oily or too dry (castor oil can be very drying), you can add additional oils to adjust the cleanser to your skin's specific needs.

If your skin is too dry: Add some avocado or sesame oil.

If your skin is too oily: Add a little more castor oil.

You can TOTALLY adjust this to perfection for your very own face. Cool, huh?

Again, this listing is for: 2 oz or 4 oz of Exquisite Stuff Cleansing Oil packaged in a reusable amber glass bottle with a glass dropper to dispense the oils, as well as the exact recipe I used to create it!

None of the statements in this listing have been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Know your skin, know the ingredients in the products you put on it, and don't use anything you don't feel personally comfortable with. It's fun to learn about natural beauty treatments, and it's even more fun to know what your skin loves - read, read, read all you can. And experiment even more! Knowledge is power, my friends.
