Cutting Boards are sent with a thin coat of food grade mineral oil and should only be hand washed in warm water with a mild detergent before use.
Don't forget to oil your board regularly to avoid cracking or splitting and to extend the life of the board.

With any natural wood product you can expect some differences in the coloration of the wood, along with some differences in the lightness and darkness of the engraving. This is due to the differences in the grain. No two boards are alike...you're truly getting a unique piece!
