This charming Vintage tin picnic basket with lunch box handles, was made in the 1950s by Nesco. Nesco is a long-established kitchenware and implement producer going back to W-II days.

This picnic basket is lithographed in a red, tan and black plaid.

The lid has double hinges at the back and opens conveniently for access to the interior. The two lunch box handles pivot and fold down. It seems these picnicware baskets originally came with service for 4 that included plastic plates, cups, and flatware and this one must have cost $129 fully loaded [see photo].

The dimensions are 13 1/2"l by 9 1/2"d by 8"h.

The picnic basket has some surface rust around the edges, on the lid and the inside. There are no scratches on the basket and the plaid is in excellent condition. It is it is in good vintage condition awaiting re-use.

I'd be happy to gift wrap, please contact me.
