1884 HARDCOVER BOOK, over 500 pages (approx., page numbers are not all in order because this is a compilation of monthly publication) of Godey's Lady Book & Magazine articles, fashions, women and children fashion information, literary articles, embroidery patterns and all the things a woman of this time would've been interested in reading and learning about -- recipes, fancy work, needlework, stories, fiction, poetry, fiction, household hints, hairstyles, sheet music, articles, and more!

Beautiful lithographs and lots of black and white illustrations throughout. Presidential portraits, fashions here and abroad.

Book is full of so much information packed into pages originally published as a lady's magazine. This would be nice to have for our day and time, wouldn't it - a compilation of a year's worth of your favorite magazines :)

Cover has definite wear, book and pages intact and strong. I think one page may have been removed (towards the front), a few pages have tears. I've seen some people take the color pages out and sell them but this book is intact and I want to keep it that way. I see very few brown or age spots which is amazing

Upon opening the book, the first loose page is signed by a few women and the dates they owned the book 1931-1958.

Contains Vol. CVIII. From January to June, 1884 & Vo.. CIX. From June to December, 1884.

Edited by J. H. Haulenbeek.

What a delightful gift, too!
