Ancient Egyptians were all too familiar with the single-minded persistence of biting flies - so much so that flies came to represent tenacity and viciousness in battle and were presented to the best warriors as symbols of valor. Flies could also symbolize resurrection, and tiny fly amulets appear by the thousands in museum collections, often outnumbering ankhs and wedjat eyes.

This wee fly is cast from a hand-carved original based on the golden Flies of Valor in the Luxor Museum. Award one to your bravest warrior - or favorite pest.

• Pin measures 7/16" (11.5 mm) high
• Features sturdy nickel pin with clutch back
• Cast in sterling silver from a hand-carved original model

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Please note that orders shipped to countries outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the government of the destination country. You may be required to pay these charges upon delivery of your order.

Customs policies vary widely from country to country and are subject to frequent changes, so you may want to check with your local customs office for more information before ordering. Also, customs procedures may cause delays beyond the estimated delivery date. I cannot guarantee delivery of international orders by a specific date. Although most orders arrive within 7 to 14 days, I strongly recommend allowing at least 21 days for delivery and customs clearance if you need your order in time for a special occasion.

The full value of the order will be declared on the customs form. Please note that I cannot mark the item as a "gift"; this is not possible when using Etsy's shipping system, and it is a violation of Federal law.

I have no control over, or any way of predicting, the customs fees and procedures of the destination country.

Thanks for your understanding, and I truly appreciate your business!

Estimated arrival

The estimated delivery date is based on your purchase date, the recipient's location (actual or inferred), the seller's processing time and location, and the shipping carrier. Other factors—like placing an order on a weekend or a holiday—may end up pushing the arrival of your item beyond the estimated delivery date. It's our hope that your item gets where it's going as soon as possible, but given the factors involved, this is only an estimate.
