Download PDF sewing pattern tutorial for 6"(15cm) man, 5.5"(14cm) woman, 4"(10cm) child, and 2"(5cm) baby. These 1:12 scale mini mannequins have flexible wire armatures, needle sculpted details, and natural proportions. Basic sewing skills by hand and machine are required. Detailed drawings and step-by-step instructions are given for making armatures, sewing, stuffing, and shaping the figure.

Recommended fabrics: Use a fine knit fabric with moderate stretch, about 40% across and 20% lengthwise to achieve the shaping as shown. Using other fabrics will make the doll thicker or thinner than the original design. Fabric 9" x 24" (22cm x 60cm) will make one family.

Frequently asked questions about PrairieCrocusStudio

When you request a custom order, we discuss what you want, the cost and when the order will be finished. After we confirm the details of your order, I will write up a custom listing for you to purchase. After payment, I will make your item. If there is an unavoidable delay, I will contact you as soon as possible.
Before shipping, I will provide photos of the finished item for your approval. If something needs changing, I will make the change if possible. If you decide you do not want the item, I will keep it and give you a full refund. Sometimes a custom order is not refundable, but we will confirm that before you purchase.
Combined shipping may cost less than several items sent separately, but the exact amount is difficult to predict. Overpayment of shipping will be refunded if it is more than my cost (postage & packaging). Combined shipping applies only to items traveling in the same package, to the same address.
Contact me immediately if an item is damaged in transit. I will need photos of the damage, including the packaging, before refunding. Depending on the item and the extent of the damage, it may not be worth the cost of sending it back to me, so please ask me first.
