A complete St. Patrick's Day Irish themed adventure treasure hunt - all ready to be downloaded, printed and set up. This complete package includes four, ready to be set up adventure treasure hunt clues and puzzles - for four separate locations in your treasure hunt.
This hunt is not a bunch of random word searches and paper mazes..The whole adventure treasure hunt is bound together by a central story: Follow poor ol' Shamus...he's been trying to catch a leprechaun his whole life. He's been laughed at by his fellow villagers. However, he plans on showing them all!! Just fill in the locations specific to your playing area or city, make the needed copies and you are ready to go.
Already working on a St. Patrick's Day treasure hunt of your own? No problem, these puzzles were cleverly designed to be inserted into a treasure hunt of your own, as well. Use just one or use all four. Think of each set of puzzle and clues as a boxcar to a train (the train being the treasure hunt you are planning) - connect them to each other as boxcars would on a train. You can use any number of them that you'd like and you can put them in any order you'd like, to ensure that you have the maximum amount of flexibility in your planning. They are the 'legos' of treasure hunt building!
Each puzzle is a mini activity making every stop along the way fun. At each stop the adventurers will need to search around the room/area looking for the needed clues to solve the puzzle. Once all of the clues are found, the puzzle can be solved and they'll be off again to another location on your hunt.
Four different leprechaun themed treasure hunt puzzles - in ready to copy format once your locations are written in.
One requiring logic - When Odran is caught, he's more than willing to tell Shamus where his gold is...if only he could remember since he keeps moving his gold around from place to place!
One requiring deduction - When little Daegan tricks Shamus into falling asleep, Shamus is left with only a few faint memories of the gold's location...
One requiring assembling pieces to a map - Caith was clever enough to keep a map of his gold...but poor Shamus finds it in pieces!
One requiring the encoding of a secret message - Ailfrid's outwits poor Shamus by writing his gold's location in code - will the teams be able to help Shamus decode it before Ailfrid can move the gold?
Instructions for setting up each puzzle at it's location as well as instructions for connecting the puzzles in the order of your choice to create the treasure hunt best suited for event!
Does Shamus finally find the gold and get even with the four leprechaun brothers? Your teams will have a great time figuring it out!
BONUS PUZZLE!!!! - If you choose to use all four puzzles in your treasure hunt, you have the option to incorporate a FIFTH and final puzzle (also included!) which uses the answers to the other four to complete! A great way to end the hunt and to make sure that your participants successfully completed all the puzzles!
These unique set of treasure hunt puzzles were created by treasure hunt designer Joe Dean, with over 20 years of professional adventure design experience behind him. The clever versatility built into the adventure treasure hunt allows it to be set up inside a home, on church grounds, over an entire baseball stadium, throughout an entire city...anywhere you'd like as long as each location on your treasure hunt is unique (no repeat locations for stops.) Their design also allows maximum flexibility in time duration. Would you like it to last 15 minutes? Would you like it to last three hours? You are able to make those decisions based on your available and desired time frame by either using more/less puzzles or hiding the clues to the puzzles in more challenging/easier places.
Recommended Ages - The entire family was thought of in the overall design of this treasure hunt puzzles package. Because there are multiple aspects to each puzzle (searching for physical clues, solving of the puzzle, etc.) multiple ages can enjoy themselves. The younger participants will have fun searching for the clues while the older participants can focus on solving the puzzle. The puzzles themselves are not overly challenging, once all the clues are found that is. Adults down to children age 10 (approx.) typically have no problem solving the puzzles. Ages 8-9 might need an adult handy to 'unstick' them should they get stuck at any part. Children younger than 8 should can participate as part of a team, being able to contribute as the team searches for the clues. (PLEASE NOTE: The age recommendations just offered are the culmination of offering these puzzles online for the past 10 years, but are still only estimates as each child's individual problem solving skills is different.)
