This is a very large, vintage, beautiful, hand-painted, high-temp fired (stoneware) cat from Tonala, Mexico. It measures 13 1/2" long, 9 1/2" tall and 7" front to back. It is heavy at nearly 13 pounds. It has a gorgeous hand-painted owl and flowers in petatillo style on the back. Beautiful cobalt and green colors on creamy brown. It is called "corcho" pottery in Mexico for its cork-like exterior glaze. Very good shape with no chips or cracks and only a little mottling in the glaze from the firing process. Sorry about the shipping cost. This one is heavy.
