My turnaround time is up to 12 working days from signoff of design to putting in the mail (ie not including shipping time or or the design phase of the project). If I am less busy, the turnaround may only take 5 days, but up to 12 working days is what to expect if you are planning to a deadline.
- Design phase: can take as little as 3 days, depends mainly on customer's schedule and speed of decision-making (ideally you shouldn't rush this part)
- Production phase: up to 12 working days
- UK Shipping: in the UK, next day delivery (Royal Mail Special Delivery)
- international Shipping: These are approximate: To the US, approx 6-12 wording days. To Europe, 5-10 working days. To rest of world, 8-16 working days.

I prefer to send orders via Royal Mail 'Special Delivery' (next day service) in the UK, and by an equivalent special delivery service to the rest of the world. These mailing options are insured in the event that your parcel goes missing. On request, I can use a cheaper posting method, at buyer's own risk.

Frequently asked questions about MapleTea

My turnaround time for custom letterpress printed orders is 14-18 working days from signoff of design to despatch (this does not include shipping time or or the design part of the project). I am rarely able to shorten these turnaround times, so if you are in a rush and need your items sooner, then letterpress/hand printed items may not be the best method for you (I can offer 'design only' as an alternative). Below is a breakdown of the timings:

Design phase: can take as little as 4 days, depends mainly on customer's schedule, clarity of design brief and speed of decision-making (ideally you shouldn't rush this part)
Production phase: 14-18 working days

Shipping Costs & Duration for Custom Orders:
Items over £40 are sent by trackable insured services. Shipping costs depend on weight and insurance value. As a guide, here is an approximate range of costs, ranging from small orders to larger orders.
- UK: £7.90-£21.00 (next day service)
- USA: £14.50-£29.00 (approx 6-12 working days)
- EU: £11.50-£26.00 (approx 5-10 working days)
- Australia: £16.75-£34.50 (approx 8-16 working days)

Shipping Costs for smaller items:
I use standard mail for samples and cards and other lower value items (under £40). If you would prefer a tracked service, let me know before purchasing.
There are samples available to buy, when available, in the 'Samples' section of my Etsy shop, and also from my own website. These samples are generic (personalised samples are not available).
Please note that occasionally there may be delays or additional costs due to customs in destination countries. This only applies to countries outside of the European Union. These are imposed by the government in each location, and are outside of the vendor's control.
Message me your order details. Maple Tea will reply to your message with a quote, including postal costs. If you wish to proceed, I will create a custom listing on Etsy.

When the order has been placed (card payments and Paypal accepted) the first draft showing initial designs for your stationery will be sent to you. Please note, I do not begin design work prior to payment.

The designs will be emailed to you in pdf format, and you can request changes as you see fit until a suitable design is reached. I will ask that you approve (‘sign off’) the final draft, and that you carefully double check all details. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the proof is correct, so having third party proof read as well is recommended.
