Item Details.
From the 19th century a woman’s aubergine silk velvet bolero jacket with gilt embroidery with a plum and acid green striped full length silk skirt. Both in original antique condition.
Measurements:
(photographs taken on UK size 8/10 mannequin)
Bolero:
Across front from when lying flat: 42cm (16.5 inches)
Sleeve length: 49cm (19 inches)
Nape neck to hem: 33cm (13 inches)
Skirt:
Waist: 66/68cm (26.5 inch)
length: 88cm (34.5 inch)
Condition.
The jacket had some rubs to the velvet and some tears to the lining and some fading to the velvet. The skirt has some small rubs to the silk surface, and the tulle trim decoration which runs just above the hem is shattering.
