The perfectly smeared and dirty glass provided a perfect canvas, with its dripping paint, filth, and envelopes leaning inside for the reflection of life across the street. If you look closely, you'll see the graffiti someone wrote above the iron scrollwork at the foot of the window: "BATH". I didn't have to think further about a title. In warm browns, with smears of cream and touches of gold and red, my photograph taken of the glass reflection in a cast iron building’s abandoned storefront window on one of the cobblestone streets in my NYC neighborhood has won awards and served as the cover image for one of The Lingering Doubts albums.

A little background about my neighborhood: Soho (NYC) was originally known as the Cast Iron District due to a plethora of cast iron buildings, many of which held warehouses and factories. Some of those still remain; but most have moved on, ousted by outrageously rising rents. This has been my home for over 25 years, and I've witnessed the vast changes to the face of this historical district almost on a weekly basis.

This fine art sMacVision photograph is printed on 8.5x11 inch (A4) premium acid-free, archival digital rag, heavyweight paper, which has a matte finish and will last a lifetime. It will be signed and dated and shipped promptly in a sturdy, moisture-resistant package. Other sizes available upon request.

NY Residents will be charged sales tax. I'll invoice once I know your zip code.
