Description

Turquoise Waters - This colorway is a cool soothing medium turquoise shade, absolutely luscious.

Needles: size 0 - 2, size 4+ for lace patterns
Guage (for knitter): 32s X 50r over 4 inches on US size 0 US (2.0mm) needles
Gauge (for crocheters): 36s X 24r over 4 inches on US steel 6 (1.8mm) hook
Sett (for weavers): 20/24 epi (tabby/twill)

4 oz/115g, 635 yd/600 m

Yarn Base: Mousou - a 3 ply, 100% rayon from bamboo yarn, lace weight (Yarn size [1]) - 28 wpi
custom created for me by Ozark Carding Mill a local family run fiber mill.

This yarn is 2300 yards per pound. For weavers this is equivalent to a 9/3 cotton or tencel.

Colors are captured as accurately as possible. Because each computer monitor is different, colors may appear differently. These are hand painted, although the dyes used are the same stock, there will be small variations in intensity and color length between skeins.

If you would like a larger quantity for a single project, convo me, and I will be happy to get the quantity you need matched as closely as possible. If needed,I can do a custom dye session for your yarn.

Care Instructions:

I recommend finishing knitted and crocheted pieces by laying the washed pieces out on a thick terry towel and smoothing to size and shape. I don't use pins in blocking my bamboo based items.

I recommend finishing woven pieces by washing on delicate, protecting fringes if used. Spin dry the peices and gently tumble until just damp. Hard press with an iron on the cotton/rayon setting. Future washings will just need a light ironing to remove wrinkles after drying.

This yarn has been washed in hot water after dyeing with professional fiber reactive cold process dyes. Minimal residual bleeding may be seen in very dark colors on the first wash.
