For sale is this antique Millers Falls Number 12 'Breast Drill'. A breast drill has a saddle-shaped plate to lean on, usually with your chest, to apply drilling extra pressure. The Millers Falls No. 12 is a two speed mechanical crank driven drill with adjustable handle and built in level. Speed change is accomplished by unsnapping the drive wheel and moving it to the other hole which engages the second ring of teeth on the drive gear. Handle has three positions for more or less torque while drilling. The Model 12 was made from 1874 to 1957. I estimate this one is from around the turn of the last century.

Drill is in very good usable condition. It shows no signs of abuse or misuse, drive gears are good with no damaged teeth, nothing is frozen or stripped, chuck works fine, built-in bubble level is undamaged. It shows some wear from normal use, has some loss of paint and nickle plating on handles. It is greasy and would benefit from a good cleaning.

Drill will weigh approximately 7 lbs packed. Shipping will be via USPS Parcel Post with Delivery Confirmation. International bidders please contact me for a shipping quote.
