The combination of powerful poetry and compelling illustrations makes the journey followed in reading so visceral. I have experienced the therapeutic value in writing my own poetry and used viewing art in my healing. Now through this book, I have been a witness to the author's therapeutic journey with illustrations paired with her journey. It is an honor to travel with her and to view his illustrations. Thank you, Sarah Herrin, for this journey, and thank you Josiah Callaway for the visual interpretation.
I purchased the Monster Anthology (There is a Monster Inside That I Am Learning to Love), as well as Heretic by Kristy Webster. The anthology is an incredible collection of poetry and art, and Kristy Webster's collection was intense and deeply moving. Also, if these hadn't been marked as misprints, I never would have been able to tell. Wonderful quality books.
I was so excited to get these copies of "Tea With Your Monster: Poetry & Art. The cover art is beautiful and the poetry and art inside are outstanding and compelling. Thank you for another amazing anthology Beyond the Veil Press.
I love everything about this Anthology from the compelling title, and the cover art on both the front and back, to the poetry and artwork within. It is full, cover to cover, with intensely emotional poetry and art. Throughout my own healing journey both images and the written word have been amazing tools to guide me whether I was the creator or the audience. Traveling through this anthology you see such honest sharing of each artist/writer's journey navigating their own healing, the pain, and the hope. "How To Heal A Bloodline" both shows hope in healing and offers hope to all.
