My studio time has recently been my meditative time where I can go and turn on music, and fall into the rhythm of working with my hands and not worrying about everyday things in life (even just for an hour or two here and there).
These spiral textured crescent pieces are each unique in their exact size, as each one starts as a small round ball of clay that is textured and flattened, then cut into this crescent shape.
I hand paint the glaze onto every piece and suspend each one during the glaze firing, so that the glaze surrounds the piece except for the holes where the glaze is wiped away so it does not fuse to my bead hooks when fired to over 2230 degrees F.
Each glaze firing can produce different results, and your order will be made for you, so they may slightly vary from the images you see here.
This listing is for a pair of these textured disc beads similar to what you see in this first photo.
The second photo shows the general size in inches and mm.
The third photo gives you some color choices of these pieces with my rustic glazes (Ruby is not pictured here but it is a satin matte Ruby Red glaze).
I would love to see what you make with my handmade items, please share on my blog:http://www.marshanealstudio.blogspot.com/p/creations.html
