There are 3 pages on top that you can open. They are double sided with "ancient" writing on both sides of each page. The pages are made from laminated mdf wood and painted gold to make it appear like metal. This is not metal, The box is 3D printed in PLA plastic and the pages are laser cut in white MDF wood and then painted gold. The sealed portion of the gold plates is filled with sand giving them some weight so they feel more realistic. The rings are made from 9 gage metal and handcrafted to look authentic. They are not painted gold any more because rings made from gold would have been too soft to work. The rings will be a silver color in your gold plates. The inside bottom of the plates has "ancient writing", and is sealed like the original 2/3rds of the gold plates were. This is a great gift for your Bishop or loved one and looks amazing displayed in your office or on your mantle.
There is a free mini Liahona and mini Sword of Laban included with this purchase. They fit inside the gold plates for storage.
