Description

Talk about rugged growing conditions for flowering plants!

Here's a gorgeous antique chromo lithograph of desert plants from Germany back in 1887!

The beautiful details in this gorgeous full color, sharp as a tack lithograph from the turn of the 20th century in this opulent naturalist's study are simply amazing. Printing of this quality and detail is a long lost art-form I'm afraid. Lithograph print making is an amazingly slow and time-consuming process. Far too costly to pay an artisan to do in these times.

"1887 Desert Plants" is in glorious perfect condition, captured in bright pinks whites, blue and cool earth-tone colors of greens over a background of soft tans and browns, all done in the most costly chromium inks available back in the day.

This litho is PERFECT; smooth and flat with sound edges and corners and almost no tanning at all... remarkable condition for 130 year old paper! It measures 12" x 9.5" overall and it has a clean fold down the center as it was issued.

Matted and framed and displayed as a grouping, these charming antique botanical prints are simply spectacular. (Please note that the framed examples in the last photo are to show how this might look when it's framed. Your antique print will come to you unmatted and unframed.)

I'll send this jewel to you by way of the USPS packaged flat and protected in a rigid mailer.

Damages In The US Mail.
They happen sometimes.
Although we carefully wrap our vintage breakables in tons of bubblewrap and tons of padding and pack them in sturdy shipping boxes, damages still sometimes happen. *sigh*
Please tell us about damaged goods ASAP. Photograph the damages and send photos to us so that we can work it out with USPS.

Shipping policies

We ship by way of the United States Postal Service only.
Yes, FedEx and UPS are a little bit cheaper, but we find them to be very brutal with our delicates and breakables, so we refuse to play with them.

International Orders
The answer is YES we do ship internationally. Please just ask! There are many shipping destinations on this planet and each one is a slightly different price.

Additional policies

While it is considered customary for many antique and vintage shops to consider offers and dicker prices, our shop simply doesn't.
We've priced our merchandise as fairly as humanly possible. Please don't ask us to haggle.
Thank you.
