On offer is the orphaned lid to a very fine tureen made in a highly exotic Victorian mishmash of styles, containing everything from Arab Bedouin oasis scenes to Japanese cherry blossoms to a Greek neoclassical handle and Renaissance Revival foliate pattern. I'm sure I've missed something in there, as well. Perfect to use as a dramatic plate cover for serving, or it could be made to hang on the wall. Beautiful thing.

Measures 10 inches long. Very good condition except for one concealed chip, as shown in the last image -- not the white glare in the image but the tiny chip below it. Completely invisible while in use.
