Description

*I always have lots of these*

A delicate treasure! Do you like creative supply SURPRISES? You’ll receive over 100 square inches of perfect and not-so-perfect marbled paper pieces in a variety of colors, patterns, sizes and shapes. The pieces will vary from those shown in the photos, but are very similar in nature. 100 sq. in. is roughly the same area as a standard-sized sheet of copy paper.

These are trimmings and surplus from the products I make. I simply cannot bear to throw them away, and they quickly add up! Sometimes there is a flaw in a paper which I must cut around, or maybe I simply goofed and cut the bookmarks too long by an inch. You benefit by receiving a variety of paper patterns, both abstract and traditional.

• All non-toxic, natural and acid-free materials.

• Remember, your collection(s) will be a surprise and not any of the ones in the photos.

• Paper-types are white Japanese Masa and Texoprint. Masa is lightweight, durable, flexible and strong. Texoprint is thin and even more durable with a slight latex content. Both respond well to adhesive.

• Dimensions and shapes vary—some strips are as narrow as ½ inch and/or as long as 8 inches. These will arrive folded. Always included are 1-2 largish rectangles, and always each has a flaw. (Intended to be note cards, but didn’t make the cut…)

• Your marbled scrap collection(s) will be shipped securely in an ordinary envelope for the no-nonsense price of $.50!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Make your own bookmarks, paper accents, jewelry –anything you’d do with decorative paper. Start a collection of marbled paper patterns! Put them in your journal. Makes a great gift for a creative friend—scrapbookers love them. Favors at your next scrap booking party?? More ideas:
Collage—Book Arts—Decoupage—Kid’s Projects—Paper Beads—Journaling
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Marbling is done by floating dye or paint on the surface of water in a tank, and lowering a sheet of paper or fabric from above, making a unique, one-of-a-kind contact print. Tools may also be used to arrange the color into patterns before the print is made. Only one print can be made from each painted design. Each piece is completely original! There is no mass production, no photography and no digital treatment involved!!

An artist by nature and formal training, I enjoy the process of combining and manipulating color. With marbling, the colors, patterns, and working techniques are endless and never boring. Every marbling session is an adventure! I make marbled paper for the sheer pleasure and joy of creating beautiful things and want others to enjoy my work for that same reason!

Shipping policies

All Buyers:

I use the United States Postal Service (USPS) for domestic and international orders. We have not yet lost a package!

Orders consisting of more than small scrap packs are packed gently and firmly in cardboard to resist damage, and shipped as soon as possible after your payment is received, usually within 3 days or one to two weeks for kit and paint orders. Marbled papers are never folded unless you ask me to fold them for the purpose of saving on shipping costs. You will be notified via Etsy Convo as soon as the order ships, and if there is more than one package to expect (Some items need very different packing arrangements and don’t “play well” with others).

No order is insured beyond reasonable and customary U.S. Postal procedures unless you ask for special arrangements when placing your order. All orders except small scrap collections are track-able. You will receive a tracking number when the order ships.

Please know that I recycle shipping materials to save money and natural resources. Your shipment may not look crisp and brand new on the outside, but rest assured your items will be well protected on the inside from the perils of shipping. I use a variety of bubble wrap, paper, air-filled-plastic-thingies, and even other assorted (maps, newspaper, wadded newspaper) filler. :) I'm resourceful and creative to the bone, I'm afraid.

I will happily ship straight to your giftee as well as include a personal note as requested. Just leave me this info in the “Note to Seller” box at checkout.

U.S. Buyers:

All domestic (U.S.) orders weighing under 15 oz. are shipped via USPS First Class Mail. Packages weighing 15 oz. and over are shipped via USPS Priority mail with the exception of marbling kits, which are shipped via Parcel Select to make shipping more affordable. Upgrades (faster shipping times) may be available on request BEFORE YOU PURCHASE. Contact me please. Please remember that shipping around any holiday can be very unpredictable, and a request for an upgrade is recommended.

While packages generally arrive MUCH sooner, I allow the post office 2 weeks for Domestic delivery before becoming concerned.

International Buyers:

MarblingSupplies uses First Class Mail International, via the United States Postal Service (USPS).

Customs fees, tariffs, or any other associated delivery fees, expected or unexpected are the responsibility of the buyer, not MarblingSupplies or Etsy.com.

While packages generally arrive MUCH sooner, I allow the post office 6 weeks for International delivery before becoming concerned.

Though marbled papers themselves do not pose a problem, I cannot fully guarantee shipping of all SUPPLIES to international destinations. Customs officials may be suspicious of some items due to their appearance and intercept shipping. White powdered substances do resemble cocaine and other illicit substances. Liquid gall and paint could also be suspect.

I DO GUARANTEE that I will research your destination to determine whether I think it reasonable to attempt shipping, and if so, do my very best to please customs officials by following your country's protocol. If I determine the shipping to be risky to your destination, I will recommend that we purchase additional insurance and let you know the cost. Marbled Goods does not take responsibility for lost or stolen shipments; though I’ll do my best to recover any cost for you through insurance claims where applicable.

You, too, can help by providing any information specific to your country regarding customs protocol. Thank you for your understanding.
