In case a special sketch/mock up of your custom item is needed, a $25 non-refundable deposit that can be applied towards your order will be charged.
Unfortunately the design is a major part of the work and time consuming, eventually.

In new jewelry the engraving is silver colored or bright.
This looks noble, but it's not exactly obvious. It's silver color embedded in silver color after all.
The engraving will darken with time. It may take days or weeks and reach its final dark color on its own.
Then the engraving stands out and is more obvious.
However, if you prefer to get this more obvious look from the beginning, you may want to order the dark engraving.
Then I use techniques to make the engraving dark from the beginning.

Please keep in mind that metal, when it comes in contact with air or the oils of your skin, does tarnish or darken. Darkened metal is a natural process and it depends on each individual person how long it will take before your piece tarnishes.
It can be brought to shine again by polishing with a silver cleaning cloth. Cleaning cloths often are available in good groceries or a jewelry shop.
I recommend that customers remove jewelry before going to bed, taking a bath or shower or participating in physical activity.
Exposure to certain harsh chemicals or environments will result in compromising the integrity of your jewelry. This includes, but is not limited to the following: perspiration, perfumes, cleaning agents, chlorine and salt water.

This is the second locket that I order from Christine. It is AMAZING!! Anyone that is hesitant to order from this artisan because she is in Australia should set that concern aside. She is much more proficient than some people in the U.S. I had ordered from an Etsy artisan in California and it took him forever to get my primitive Christmas sign to me and he had every excuse in the book.
