Description

this is a PATTERN, NOT the covers themselves. DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOURE LOOKING FOR THE seat covers, those can be found in my shop.

This pdf pattern is composed of a set of instructions followed by a few pages of instructional photos which are referred to in the text. I suggest you print out the pages so you can follow along with both at the same time.

This pattern is written in standard American terms. There are detailed instructions for the front seats. If you want to make a full set of seat covers including the back, I will have brief directions how to do so towards the end.

Level: Intermediate. - though beginners can try as there are plenty of detailed instructions!

The materials you’ll need include: 3.25mm needle and a total of 14 skeins of yarn- the exact colors and brands I’ve used are noted.

Sizing:
The bottom seat cover: 20x19 in.
The back (where your back goes) seat cover: 23x20 in.
The head seat cover: 8x8 in.
Instructions for how to make larger or longer to accommodate your vehicle are included.

A note on back seat covers:
The back seat covers fit well onto SUVs, Saburus, volvos and jeep-style cars which have an open back space connecting to the trunk. These types of seats allow the covers to slip over them. They do not work with sedans as there is no way to fasten the covers onto the seats.

The original seat covers were made by me in March 2016. The pattern was written in September 2016. They are adapted from a ‘stained glass’ crochet afghan photo I found on google. Thank you to that person for the inspiration; I do not intend to take complete ownership over the design. I mention this because plenty of crocheters have claimed my work as their patterns in the past and it’s not a nice feeling!

By purchasing this pattern you have agreed not to re-distribute it! I have spent many hours writing the pattern, taking the pictures and trying to explain everything in a detailed, helpful and intuitive way. I pretty much feel as though I have written a short book! O_o

This pattern is copy written and may not be distributed for free or profit. I prefer it to be used for personal use only, or making a gift for someone, but if you do decide to sell the finished product- please give me credit by providing a link. All artisans and creators require accreditation for their work, whether they are authors, scientists, painters or crocheters- not doing so can be considered plagiarism!

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me on FB or Etsy! If also you have any concerns about the pattern, or any tips on how to make it better – I do appreciate the ‘constructive advice’ from more experienced pattern makers. I have been crocheting obsessively for the past 13 years but have only been reading and making patterns as of the last few months. Thank you!

Thank you for visiting !
