What are Printables / Digital Download Artworks?

Printables / Digital Downloads are high resolution digital files that you download to print at home. After purchase the file is yours to keep and you can print the image as many times as you want, or use it for projects such as art prints, cards, invitations, art activities and more. KINDLY NOTE: The digital files are for PERSONAL USE ONLY. You may not share, sell, distribute the file, or use it for commercial projects. You can print the image as many times as you need for personal use. If you have any questions about the permitted use, please do not hesitate to contact me.

If you have an Etsy account, after your purchase you’ll see a ‘View your files’ link which goes to the Downloads page. Here, you can download all the files associated with your order. If you checked out as a guest, you'll find a link to download your purchase in the receipt email that was sent to you after purchase.

When printing at home, use quality paper and the best setting on your printer, such as Fine, Photo or Quality, for optimal results. Some printers will have different printing settings for different types of paper. For colour art prints I would recommend using a thick matte printing paper (150-300gsm). Papers made especially for your type of printer (e.g. inkjet or laser), will give the best results.

Home Printing Settings

Please check that your printer's colour management/colour correction is turned off before printing. For inkjet printers it might be good to clean the printer heads, to make sure they are not clogged up. Clogged up printer head nozzles can produce undesired colour effects. Please note that printed colours may vary slightly due to different colour-settings/monitors/printers. This is due to different calibrations of computer screens and printers.

Professional printing

To get professional art prints made, I would recommend using a Giclée printing service. I prefer to use matte paper for art prints, but semi-gloss or gloss will also work well, if you prefer. My favourite papers for Giclée prints are Hahnemühle Photorag and Epson Matte Archival Paper. If you need the files in any other format, size, or colour mode (such as CMYK) please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to assist.

Recommendations for Printify?

If you are using Printify to have art prints printed, I would recommend choosing their Giclée Art Print option, with pigment inks and archival paper.

How do I open a zipped (compressed) file?

Mac users: Double-click on the zipped file to unzip any zipped file. Click appropriate icons to access the extracted files. Windows users: To unzip all the contents of the zipped folder, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Extract All. Please note - while the zipped files are still downloading you can't open the folder. Just wait a little while until all the files are have finished downloading to open.
