Description

The Bermuda Triangle is a geographic area that has become infamous for the disappearances of ships, planes, people and more; which have been recorded as early as 1812. The Bermuda Triangle lies in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, but its exact demarcation is unknown and its vertices have been reported in different locations. The strange occurrences that happen within this area have explanations linking them to both the natural and the supernatural!

This is the first in our Bizarre Tourism Department Series and it GLOWS IN THE DARK! The design features an ocean liner in classic art deco styling as it makes its transatlantic, or possibly trans-dimensional, journey! Turn off the lights and experience the poster from another dimension! ;)

SPECIFICATIONS:
• 12" x 18" physical size / 11" x 17" artwork
• 80 lb paper - FSC Certified
• Four-color print (including glow)
• Glow in the Dark (Best glow results achieved after charging the poster in full sun or under bright lights for 10-30 minutes.)
• Printed via old-school offset press method (due to this printing method, each poster is slightly different. Very minor variations/imperfections may be present, but we feel this makes each one special and unique!)
• MADE IN THE USA

SHIPPING:
Posters are individually sealed in a protective plastic sleeve, carefully rolled and shipped within a crush-resistant poster tube.

Please feel welcome to convo us with any questions!

Shipping policies

DOMESTIC ORDERS: (Within the Continental U.S.)
• Orders shipped via USPS + Delivery confirmation tracking included
• Shipment tracking included - NOTE: You will be provided a tracking # via email or convo.
• Please allow 7-10 business days for delivery (unless otherwise stated)
• Occasionally, a package will not be scanned properly or will not get scanned into the system at all; 99% of the time, it is still on its way to you.
• If a package is truly lost, we ask that you contact the USPS before reaching out to us. The USPS can see additional information where your package was last scanned and help you locate it. They often also ask specific location information that you will be best able to provide them. The USPS can be reached toll-free at: 1-(800) 275-8777

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: (Outside the Continental U.S.)
• Orders shipped via USPS
• For international orders (outside the US) only: The tracking number is more of a what the USPS calls a "border number," meaning not every receiving country will choose to scan your package as it travels to your doorstep, though often posts located in the EU and Canada are nice enough to scan the package.
• We are not responsible for the package once it leaves our hands.
• Know your country's customs policies! As much as we would love to mark each international shipment as a gift, by USPS policy, we have to declare contents and value on the customs form. We cannot be held responsible for additional customs fees, VAT, etc.
• If your package is one of the unlucky that is stopped for customs fees, VAT, etc, then you may not always be notified by your post. Sometimes your package may be marked as "delivered" and it is nowhere to be found - 99% of the time it is sitting on a shelf in "customs" at your local postal branch, but you have not been notified by the delivery person for whatever reason, whether they were out of notification slips or they ran out of time. Usually, a notification of customs fees slip will be delivered within a few days of this. Either way, you will have to physically go to your local postal office branch and ask about the package by giving them your "tracking," or customs number for them to locate it. (Going in person will help "motivate" the worker to physically check the shelves vs. just digitally checking tracking information, which only tells them "delivered."
• If you wait too long to pick up your package (usually a couple of weeks to a month, but this depends on your local post), the package may or may not be returned to us as "unclaimed" or "undeliverable" by your post (depends on the post). If it is eventually returned to us, it takes up to 45 days once they ship it back for us to receive it. If this happens, we will need to charge shipping again to re-send the package.

• Need it expedited? Please convo us! :)

***** IMPORTANT NOTICE TO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE U.S. *****

To avoid any subsequent misunderstandings, please note that importing goods from another country can mean that your national Customs authorities may charge you Customs Duty and/or other additional related taxes (for example a Value Added Tax or a Purchase Tax). YOU, as the importer, are responsible for paying any such taxes. We have no control over what taxes you may be charged by your own national tax authorities. We are not responsible for compensating you for payment of any such taxes. If you do not know how much (if any) import tax you might have to pay, please check with your local tax authorities BEFORE purchasing from us.

Some countries prohibit or restrict the importation of some types of goods. You may need a general or special license and/or other documents to import goods, particularly in larger or commercial quantities. It is your responsibility to check with your national Customs authorities whether the goods you intend to import are subject to any such restrictions. If your goods are retained or confiscated by your own national Customs authorities for any reason, it is your responsibilty alone to negotiate with them the terms on which such goods might be released to you.

If your goods are undeliverable for any reason and are returned to us, we reserve the right to reclaim from you any associated costs which may be charged back to us. If we receive a returned package marked as undeliverable, we will contact the buyer for either 1.) a refund of the purchase price of the item(s) minus shipping charges or 2.) Re-ship to the corrected address once the buyer covers the cost of shipping the order out again. (This is why it's so important to make sure the shipping address is complete and correct, especially for gift orders.)

On any customs forms, we are required by law to declare the full purchase price as the value of the goods. We do not under declare values, or mark goods as a "gift."

We truly wish we didn't need to have this disclaimer here but after repeated misunderstandings and a negative shop review or two solely based on the fact that a buyer incurred a customs charge (that we have no control over) or an incorrectly entered gift recipient address where the order was returned a few times as undeliverable until a different address was finally provided, we feel it important to have this lengthy and hopefully informative notice.

PIN CARE/USE

***** WARNING: Collectible pins are not toys and may include small parts, which could pose a choking hazard to children. *****

***** PLEASE NOTE: Maiden Voyage Clothing Co. does not offer refunds or exchanges for items lost or damaged after purchase.

* This is a "Jumbo" size pin. This means it is heavier than standard size pins. To protect from accidental loss or damage from use, we highly recommend investing in locking pin-backs that are readily available on Amazon.com or Ebay.com.

* Also, be aware of what type of items you place your pin on. Placing your pin on items such as bags, purses and backpacks will greatly increase the chances of losing or damaging your pin than placing it on a stationary item, such as a hat, shirt or jacket lapel. When wearing your pin, we recommend it be placed so that the wearer can remain vigilant of it. We also highly recommend removing your pin after each use, to keep it nice looking (and to avoid accidentally getting it into the washing machine, loose, damaged, etc.).

* Our "action" pin(s) involve delicate work. Even though we carefully test each pin for quality and durability, if the moving parts are overly abused (yanked or pulled too harshly), the anchor points may break. This is another reason we highly recommend removing pins after use to keep them safe and new. Maiden Voyage Clothing Co. cannot be held responsible for damages or loss resulting from misuse of pins.

IRON-ON PATCH INSTRUCTIONS (for iron-on patches only)

Cotton and denim fabrics perform best with iron-on patches because they can handle the heat. Fabrics like polyester, nylon, leather and other stretchy fabrics don't hold up well under high heat (which is required to melt the glue on the back of the patch) and may burn or get discolored by a hot iron.

We also highly recommend using a thin towel over the patch (in between the patch and iron) to protect the patch threads during the ironing-on process, as some irons can get super hot and can melt the threads (especially metallic thread).

We also highly recommend stitching the patch to the garment in a few places (after it has cooled), as to keep corners from pulling off when you go to wash it. (As iron-on will only hold for so long, no matter what the maker may claim.)

If you're ever not sure what a fabric is, it's always a safe bet to just stitch the patch on. The bonus is with denim and sewn-on patches, if you change your mind, you can just cut the thread, pull the old patch off and swap it out with a fresh patch! :)

As for the iron-on instructions:
1. Lay the base item on a flat, heat-resistant surface.

2. Place the patch in the position you chose

3. Heat up an iron. Turn it to the hottest setting your fabric can tolerate. Make sure the "steam" option is turned off, and that your iron isn't full of water

4. Place a thin towel over the patch. Take care not to disturb the position of the patch. The towel will protect the patch itself and the surrounding fabric.

5. Position the heated iron over the patch and press down. Hold the iron there for about 15 seconds. Apply as much pressure as you can by pressing down firmly.

6. Remove the iron and allow the patch to to cool. Lift the towel and check to see whether the patch is fixed on securely by gently rubbing at the edge with a finger, trying to lift it. If it lifts up a bit, replace the towel and press it with the iron again for 10 seconds.

7. Consider sewing around the edges. For a completely secure patch, use a sewing machine or a needle and thread to secure the patch to the fabric. This greatly reduces the chances that the patch will fall off. Choose a thread that matches the patch.
