Description

The Toureg people are a Berber people with a traditionally nomadic lifestyle. They are the principal inhabitants of Saharan North Africa. So you see the connection?
Do you know an urban nomad? Have you dreamed of the African Sahara...well anyway...you might like this bracelet. The fire of the lava beads are punctuated with African Bauxite Trade beads which are pretty old. More fire with the Iron Pyrite rough, raw nuggets (Fool's Gold). It's all about the heat on this bracelet for nomadic men or women. It's on a strong stretch cord to fit any size, but you can have it fitted to size. Convo me with your wrist measurement if you'd like a fitted gift with a clasp closure.

IRON PYRITE_The resemblance of pyrite to gold has made it a traditional symbol for money and good luck. It's sunny golden color associates it with the sun, and with fortification and strengthening of the mind. The name comes from the Greek word meaning "a stone which strikes fire".
LAVA-Lava rock is the physical embodiment of fire. It started as molten lava and formed into rock.
It is the only stone that is a physical form of what was once solely fire.

BAUXITE TRADE BEADS- Bauxite is a kind of aluminum ore and is a beautiful dark rusty chestnut color. These wonderful old beads are cut, carved, polished and drilled by hand in Africa. Most of the production of bauxite beads today is in Ghana, African, in a small village called Akyem Abompe. It is a unique center of bead production where practically each family is maintaining themselves through manufacture of beads. The patina of bauxite beads is warm and earthy and the most beautiful are said to be the ones which have been worn for a while and have absorbed natural human oil and sweat.

Shipping policies

Let's support the USPS. I ship everything by USPS mail, especially because it allows tracking and we can always add insurance if you request that in convo. If you want it faster, please convo me for the shipping cost. I will invoice any additional shipping expenses through Paypal only. International shipping will not be priority mail, so please allow for the difference in shipping times which may be as much as three weeks for some countries...sorry for that. I wish I could control the postal handling outside of the US, but it isn't possible at this time to track international items beyond a customs form.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I ship items within 5 days of your order if it is in stock, custom items will ship within 15 days from accepted order and you will receive notification by email. Each piece will be gift wrapped in a box, with secure bubble envelope or shipping box.

We will include free gift wrap if requested.

All purchases over $40 will be automatically insured by USPS at my expense.

Additional policies

Custom Items can be requested through the custom section of my page. If you see something that you like, it's possible to make in different lengths, or different stones.
Custom items take time and the expectation is for payment of completed items. A photo of the completed item will be posted in your reserved listing for your approval or emailed in an attachment prior to purchase. Communication through convos or emails is best to determine the details of the custom work. If the work is extensive or requires additional materials, partial payment may be required in advance and that will be communicated to the buyer before the custom item can commence.

The jewelry I make is as if it is for myself. It is made with every intent be the very best that I can make by hand. In that regard, there will be irregularities one should expect in handmade items and natural stones. Most items are one-of-a-kind, but styles may be similar. Please feel free to convo with any questions.

Enjoy!
