Description

Signed and Framed Oath of Hippocrates mixed media canvas artwork.

Perfect gift for a doctor or medical student!

Visit www.theoathofhippocrates.com for many more styles to choose from!

This listing is for a personalized oath, (Hippocratic Oath, Declaration of Geneva Physician's Oath, Oath of Maimonides, The Oath of a Muslim Physician, etc.) created specifically for you, with your choice of technique, colors, language, personalized with your title, name, medical school graduated, etc., therefore, besides choosing the two available variations in the listing, YOU WILL NEED TO INCLUDE A NOTE DURING CHECKOUT EXPLAINING HOW YOU WOULD LIKE IT PERSONALIZED.

In order to place a custom order, please include the following information:

1) Select an oath style that you prefer. Choose one of the above 9 designs or go to my site GALLERY for more options.
(Under OATH STYLE variation, Photo 1 Style refers to the first photo above, Photo 2 Style, to the second photo, etc.
OTHER refers to a style seen in my Gallery but please include clear information at checkout.)
2) Select a frame. You can choose a gold PLAIN frame, such as that in Photo 2 or a gold EMBOSSED frame such as that in Photo 1.
The same holds true for silver; Photo 8 is plain silver and Photo 9 is embossed silver.
(Please note that the oaths in Photo 1 and Photo 2 are complemented by a gold or silver EMBOSSED frame, which adds more character to those specific borders.)
3) Select how you would like it personalized.
e.g. whether you would like the name as part of the oath which begins with "I swear...".

a) It can say, "I, Dr. First Last Name, swear..." or
b) "I, First Last Name, M.D., swear... " OR
c) name, school, date, etc. can all go at the bottom or
d) can be personalized both at the beginning and at the bottom of the oath.

PLEASE specify whether you would like it personalized BOTH at the beginning and at the bottom.

PLEASE also specify whether you would like the personalization at the bottom to be in the same custom font as the oath or in a more updated font.

4) Select a language and/or version (if applicable); English, Ancient Greek, custom med school oath, other.
5) Select a color scheme, if you have something specific in mind, else color schemes will be done similarly as seen in the photos and according to frame color; with gold or silver effects.
6) These oaths are meant to have an "old" look to them through distressing techniques and manner of material use.
If you prefer a more weathered look please let me know.

Once again, feel free to look at those available in this listing or my online gallery (www.theoathofhippocrates.com) to get an idea of the different works that can be created and keep in mind that these are one of a kind and can never turn out to be exactly the same.

· The canvas measures 8 x 11.5 inches (21.5 x 30 cm).
The completed artwork, in its frame measures 9.8 x 13.2 inches (24.8 x 33.5 cm).

· The frames are made specifically for me and are of Greek poplar wood. They are lacquered in hot foil and some have an embossing technique.

· The fonts used are custom made and so are the various images, including those of Hippocrates, the Rod of
Aesculapius and borders.

· Each painting comes with a certificate of authenticity and a leaf from Hippocrates' plane tree in Kos (please see last photo).

· Each artwork is signed with my initials, SK.

· The Oath can be written in any version of English, Ancient or Modern Greek, or you can contact me for any other
language desired.

These are one of a kind, mixed media paintings which can be placed in a doctor’s office or home. My art work uses a variety of methods, techniques, mediums and tools. The sand used is from Hippocrates’ homeland of Kos, Greece and the leaf is from the Hippocrates plane tree, where, according to the legend, he taught his pupils the art of medicine.

Please allow 4-7 days for the completion of any custom order.

I have provided clear pictures but please note that colors may vary depending on your screen. Do feel free to email me with whatever questions you may have. I have described the item as best as I can, therefore I would like to avoid returns, especially due to the fees and time involved with international shipping.

All shipping is registered mail where you will need to sign for your package. This shipping service usually takes 1-2 weeks.

International Buyers Please Note:

Import duties, taxes and charges are NOT included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs, if any, may be prior to bidding or buying.
