Star of David Wax Seal

The customary blessing exchanged from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur is "Gemar chatimah tovah" (גמר חתימה טובה) and means “A good final sealing”, and the traditional Hanukkah story includes:

"...And they sought after pure olive oil to light the lamps therewith, but could not find any, except one bowl that was sealed with the signet ring of the High Priest from the days of Samuel the prophet and they knew that it was pure."

so there is historical precedent for including a seal like this in your celebrations. This seal would also make an excellent addition to your Bar/Bat Mitzvah or wedding invitations.

The impression will be about 3/4" diameter, and the top of the handle is marked to make it much easier to align the impression and avoid setting it crooked.

Please note that this seal is NOT compatible with J. Herbin traditional sealing wax (the non-mailable variety); that particular wax sticks to these seals more strongly than to the paper which causes a real mess. Obviously I strongly recommend my International Sealing Wax - that has always released cleanly and survives the postal system almost every time, even to the far side of the world!
