This is a machine to make Paper Beads with. It is easy to use and can be held on your desk with a clamp or held down with your hand. You can also use it with both hands or in your lap while watching TV. The paper strip inserts easily in the split pin on the end of the roller and holds it firmly while you start to roll the bead It has a Plexiglas plate under the bead that holds it in place while you roll. You can let go of it at any time and it doesn't unroll. This is especially handy at the end when you are applying glue.A spare Plexiglas plate is included to use under the end of the strip when you are applying glue. It keeps the bead glue free and wipes clean with a damp paper towel. My partner and I invented this when I broke my wrist and wanted to roll paper beads. I think you will love the Easy Roller Paper Bead Rolling Machine. Card stock Templates are also included. If you are left handed contact us and we will send you a left handed model at no extra charge. Ray and I have been finding that child and adult therapists are buying the Bead Machine to work with their patients. We are also finding that children love to use it but I would not let a very young child use it unless well supervised. When rolling magazine and other thin papers roll 5 or 6 strips together at a time, overlapping about 1 1/2" where you attach the strips to the roller.
I have experimented with some fabrics and have had success. I coated the fabric with Fray Check and then cut the strips. I used silk and cotton. I am still experimenting with other types of materials and papers. I am going to try ribbons next and decorating the finished beads with pretty fibers and silver and gold wire. Glitter sprinkled onto the finished bead is also very pretty.
The Bead Machine comes with 4 Roller Pins, 5/32,1/8, 3/32,and 5/64 diameters.
