Hand carved Mycenaean Minoan goddess necklace.
Replica of the Mycenaean Riding Goddess seal from the 13th c. BC (Greece bronze age). The goddess is wearing the traditional Mycenaean dress while riding a hybrid mythical beast over the waves of the sea. The beast has the muscular body of a lion and the head of a wild horse. The scene is very similar to the Europa and the Bull Greek myth.

I ordered this as a wedding gift for a friend a few weeks in advance, and shipped it to her . I simply forgot to track it. A few days before the wedding, turns out that UPS claims it wasn't the right address and shipped it back to my seller. For two weeks, my seller, Vie, tried to reach me on Etsy. When my friend mentioned it hadn't delivered just a few days before the wedding, I reached out to Vie frantically and apologized, and then asked if she would ship it back overnight with Fedex for Next Day Delivery. She responded within minutes, was so gracious, went out of her way to ship it overnight, gave me tracking, and kept checking until the next day when I had it in my hands. Her graciousness and kindness made me cry. She restored my faith in good people! Vie is a rare and wonderful human being quality goods!!
